Sonus Faber happening

Part 1 - something extraordinary

Basilica Palladina, Vicenza, Itália

Sonus Faber is keeping it a secret, following the same press 'teasing' strategy as for the presentation in Venice of THE Sonus Faber (formerly Fenice) in June 2010.

This time they chose Vicenza, the Basilica Palladina and (most probably) the Teatro Olimpico for the presentation ceremony of 'something extraordinary' which, based on the already posted 'video teasers' (shown below), seems to be a new Sonus Faber loudspeaker, or a revamped heritage model.

New materials will be used for the enclosure, which share the stiffness and rigidity of aluminium and the 'touch' of wood; and also for the driver cones which will be molded in a material similar to kevlar/carbon fiber.

I am only guessing, of course, but if I could bet, I would put my money on a XXI Century Extrema with an active rear driver. That would be something extraordinary!

But it can also be a smaller Aida, or Tosca, or Carmen, who knows? Or even a Madame Butterfly, I am sure the japanese distributors would like that.

Stay tuned to HIFICLUBE.NET and we will find out together what is so extraordinary that is bound to happen in Vicenza, on the 27 March, from 6:00 p.m. onwards, when the secret will be disclosed on a special ceremony.
